Hamilton-based fuel supplier Waitomo will open its second Fuel Stop in Rotorua this week.

Located at 63-69 Fairy Springs Road, the unmanned 24-hour Fairy Springs Fuel Stop will be officially opened on Wednesday 11 December at 12pm.

Local customers will benefit from Waitomo's everyday low price for Unleaded 91, Premium 95 and Diesel. GoClear, a diesel exhaust fluid, is also available to diesel vehicle users. Waitomo's first Wash and Glow touch-free carwash will also open on site early in the New Year.

As with all new Waitomo Fuel Stops, the pumps on site are fitted with vapour recover technology, a state-of-the-art system that sucks petrol vapour back into the pump.

With the company's national expansion plan rolling out quickly, extending Waitomo's presence on both sides of the city made sense, says managing director Jimmy Ormsby.

'With our existing Fuel Stop in Fenton Park and the new Fairy Springs Fuel Stop, we'll be able to offer our everyday low Waitomo price to communities on both sides of Rotorua.

'Wherever we open, the response has always been wicked, so we'll continue doing what we do best - delivering more Kiwis a fair price for their fuel.

'Even as a small Kiwi-owned and operated family business, we've been successfully stirring up the New Zealand fuel market – and that's the way we like it.”

To celebrate the opening, guests will be welcomed on site with free coffee and a special opening day price.

Established in Te Kuiti more than 70 years ago by Desmond Ormsby, the family-owned and operated company now has more than 65 fuel stops stretching from Paihia in the north and as far south as Wellington.
