Resurfacing works are taking place at two sites in Rotorua this week.

Works are scheduled on State Highway 30A, Amohau Street, between Pukuatua and Ranolf Streets on Wednesday, March 18.

A lane change will be in place between 7pm and 6am, says Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency.

Other resurfacing is occurring at the State Highway 5 and Springfield Road intersection.

Stop/Go traffic management will be in place between 7pm and 6am on the night of Thursday, March 19.

There will be temporary speed limits of 30km/hour in place during the works.

The NZTA says works are being undertaken at night to reduce the impact on motorists.

'Delays are expected and motorists are asked to drive with caution.

'In the event of bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances, work will be postponed.”

Any changes will be communicated on NZTA's traffic website: journeys.nzta.govt.nz
