One person is in Rotorua Hospital following a firearms incident in the Bay of Plenty.
A police spokesperson says they received a report of a firearms incident near Rimu Crescent, Minginui, around 6.30pm.
'One person was seriously injured.
'They were transported to Rotorua Hospital.
'It doesn't appear to be suspicious and no one else is being sought in relation to the incident.”
