Cyclist dies after crash in Te Puke

A cyclist has died after a crash on Te Puke Highway yesterday, Tuesday 9 April.

Emergency services were called to the crash, between a car and a cyclist, around 4:50am yesterday.

The 66-year-old cyclist was taken to hospital at the time but sadly died last night, says a police spokesperson,

"Police offer their sympathies to his friends and family at this difficult time.

"The investigation into the crash is continuing."
