SH 32 between Tihoi and Marotiri has re-opened following a serious crash, which occurred around 8:05pm on Saturday.
One person was reported to have sustained serious injuries following the single-vehicle crash and was transported to hospital.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
The road was blocked at Whangamata Rd and Marotiri Rd and diversions were put in place.
The Serious Crash Unit attended and motorists were asked to avoid the area if possible.
Police thank motorists for their patience while the road was closed.
