A man is due to appear in Rotorua District Court today following a firearms incident in the South Waikato last week.
On visiting a property in Tokoroa Police located a man seriously injured.
Police had been called to the address on Baberton St at around 11.15pm on February 17.
The injured man was taken to Waikato Hospital, but has since been released.
A man, aged 25, has been arrested and is expected to appear in Rotorua District Court today, facing charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
