UPDATE: Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield is reporting three recovered cases of Covid-19 today.

Bloomfield is speaking at a live media update, alongside Covid-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins in Wellington.

He says there are no new community case today, but there are two in managed isolation since yesterday.

One of the new cases arrived from India and tested positive on day three, while the second is from Pakistan and tested positive on day seven.

"The seven day rolling average is at eight.

"You would have notice this number dropping in recent days. We expect this to continue to drop."

Bloomfield says three people have recovered from Covid-19, meaning there are no 101 active cases in New Zealand.

To date, there have been 2233 total cases reported in the country since the pandemic began.

What we know so far

On Tuesday, there were no new cases in the community to report.

There wee four new positive cases of Covid-19 to report in managed isolation since the Ministry of Health's media statement on Monday.

The seven-day rolling average of new cases detected at the border is eight, says the MOH in a statement released this afternoon.

"The number of previously reported cases that have now recovered is two. The total number of active cases in New Zealand today is 102.

"Our total number of confirmed cases is 2231.

"Since January 1, there have been 44 historical cases, out of a total of 415 cases."
