Covid-19: Paengaroa joins locations of interest

UPDATE: A further eight locations of interest in the Bay of Plenty have been named by the Ministry of Health.

The eight locations are eight separate time slots at either the Paengaroa Bakery & Lunch Bar or the Paengaroa Country Store Tepuke.

Anyone who was at the Paeangaroa Country store from Wednesday, November 17 and Saturday November 20 from 7:15am to 9am is asked to self-monitor for Covid-19 symptoms for 10 days after you were exposed at this location of interest.

Anyone who was at the Paengaroa Bakery & Lunch Bar Te Puke at 7 Old Coach Road from 7.15am to 9am on Wednesday, November 17 and 7am to 9am on Thursday 18, Friday 19 and Saturday 20 November is also asked to self-monitor for Covid-19 symptoms for 10 days after you were exposed at this location of interest.

"If symptoms develop, get a test and stay at home until you get a negative test result and until 24 hours after symptoms resolve," says a MOH spokesperson.

The four locations of interest in Paengaroa follow a previous location being announced in Te Puke earlier today.

EARLIER 2.20pm: A Covid-19 location of interest has been reported by the Ministry of Health in Te Puke.

In their latest update, the MOH state that the My Pharmacy on Jellicoe Street is a location of interest from Monday, November 22.

Anyone who was at the pharmacy in Te Puke from 10.20am to 11.45am on Monday is advised to self-monitor for Covid-19 symptoms for 10 days after exposure at the location of interest.

'If symptoms develop, get a test and stay at home until you get a negative test result and until 24 hours after symptoms resolve,” says official MOH advice.

Earlier today the MOH confirmed one new case of Covid-19 has been reported in the Bay of Plenty.

  • Baypark (81 Truman Lane, Mount Maunganui) 11am-6pm Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

Whakatāne District

  • Med Central Portacom, 52B King St, Whakatāne - 10am–4pm, Tuesday–Friday
