Work on the Acacia Road boat ramp is nearing completion.

Laying the remainder of the boat ramp slabs will run into this coming week, and all work should be finished by Saturday June 8.

The original jetty will be open over the long weekend, as the boat bumpers for the new jetty have not arrived yet.

Rotorua Lakes Council advises that if anyone is using the ramp this weekend, to please keep in mind that construction is still in progress and to take care. A temporary ramp made with packed metal is open from 5pm Friday May 31 to allow access for boat users.

Ramps at Tikitapu and Tarawera are also available for use over the weekend.
