Tanker collides with street sign

Police are investigating a crash where a tanker smashed into a street sign in Rotorua.

Officers were called to the crash at the intersection of Amohau Street and Ranolf Street at 8.05pm on Wednesday.

A police spokesperson says both northbound lanes were blocked following the crash.

'No injuries were reported.”

The NZTA website shows the northbound lanes are now clear.

Anyone with information about the crash is urged to contact their nearest police station.

Alternatively, information can be left anonymously via the Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 line or non-emergency information can be phone into police on the 105 number.
