The Whaka100 mountain bike marathon is known as one of the must do mountain bike event in Australasia.

The announcement of Emerson's Brewing Company as the naming rights partner will see the event is to be known as the Emerson's Whaka100 Mountain Bike Marathon presented by Camelbak.

The Whaka100 event proudly holds the reputation of one of the toughest mountain bike marathons in the southern hemisphere.

The event with 100, 50, 25 or 10km course options, this event takes the rider through some of the best single track in the world, providing a great contrast of handcrafted trails and rugged mountain bike bliss.

Featuring cross-country riding at its finest, this event gives competitors a chance to show off skill and endurance.

Race Director Tim Farmer is thrilled to welcome Emerson's into the Whaka100.

'Emerson's are the perfect partner for the event and the ethos of their brand is the perfect match for the Whaka100.”

'The event has fast become an iconic event in New Zealand mountain biking, the support from Emerson's will help us reach people from right across New Zealand.”

Emerson's has been New Zealand's craft brewing pioneer since 1992, brewing and creating beer with the same passion as they ride bikes, build trails, and support as many cycling activities as they can.

Craft brewing is developed in much the same way; passionate people brewing more interesting beer and rebelling against the industrial breweries by doing their own thing in their individual way. Creating beer with no rules, mountain biking and craft beer go hand in hand.

Chris O'Leary from Emerson's says the first time he met and rode with Tim Farmer, he got swept up in his incredible passion and drive for the Whaka100.

'Staying on Tim's back wheel is not easy!

'It was Tim's passion, his vision, and the sheer quality of the event, which is so inclusive of all riding abilities, that makes us proud to support the mighty Whaka100.”

In addition, Emerson's Whaka100 is collaborating with adventureXpo, New Zealand's only exhibition focused on showcasing adventure, action and extreme sports.

AdventureXpo Director Craig Murray says he is extremely stoked to have an opportunity to collaborate with such a prestigious mountain bike event.

'We are looking forward to showcasing a range of adventure centric equipment at the new look race hub”.

AdventureXpo will add another element to Emerson's Whaka100 2019 which is shaping up to be the largest in its history.
