A car has hit a bank in Hamurana on Sunday afternoon, resulting in one person sustaining moderate injuries.

It is understood that the vehicle had five occupants.

A Police spokesperson says that Police were called to Hamurana Rd about 1.10pm following a report of a single vehicle hitting a bank.

Ambulance and fire services are also attending the scene. It is unknown yet whether anyone else in the vehicle has been injured.

The car is being moved clear of the road and motorists are advised to take care if travelling in this direction. It is unknown at this stage if there are any traffic delays.
