Motorists are encouraged to drive with caution and expect delays on State Highway 30 between Te Puea Rd and Tumoana Rd from Monday.

Works will be taking place to strengthen and rebuild the road.

The road will operate under Stop/Go traffic management during the day with a 30km/h temporary speed limit in place for the duration of the works, says the NZTA.

"Works are weather dependant but are expected to be completed by the end of November.
